Professional Experience and Expertise

o Complete all new consults and daily follow up as directed. Outpatients follow up care for toxicity checks, routine, and well patient visits. Prescribe treatments plans for oncology and hematologic diagnosis, order and interpret laboratory and radiological studies, make referral to providers and conduct family meetings. Respond to all treatment emergency and triage patient phone emergencies as needed. Experienced in writing orders, managing side effects and complications of plasma exchange for a variety of approved medical conditions including TTP and GBM .Take call every month including hospital rounds, new consults at our various locations. o Responsible for all admissions, discharges including observational patients. Medically manage the care and treatments of all in-patients, collaborate with consultants, and work closely with case management for discharge planning. Average daily census is 12 with, 2-4 observation patients, 3-5discharges per day and 2-4 admission. o Worked in a long-term acute care facility managing and prescribing medical treatment for the sub acutely ill pulmonary patient requiring extended hospitalization. Patients are primarily pre/post lung transplant, acute exacerbation of COPD, ventilator dependent respiratory failure requiring longer extubating time and acute on chronic interstitial lung disease including pulmonary fibrosis. o Level 2 trauma emergency department, nursing assignments including trauma, triage, resuscitation, and psychiatric evaluation.

o Oncology work that included research protocol compliance, enrollment, review of laboratory and radiological studies, mixing and administration of chemotherapy agents, nadir count trending, liaison with outpatient infusing services, radiation oncology, interventional radiology, aesthetician, blood bank and primary care physician. This position required extensive patient and family education on disease process, managing medication side effect, adapting to altered body image, spirituality, nutrition, and health promotion. o Broad-based nursing practice in suburban acute care community hospital, including medical-surgical, ICU, ER, SPU, and PACU assignments.

o Telemetry nursing, providing medical and post-surgical care for cardiac and general acute care populations. o Conscious sedation and nursing care for interventional radiology and CT patients, including physical exams, health histories, and patient education for chemoembolization’s, vertebroplasties, UAE, and TIPPS procedures. o Infusion and IV therapy services for diverse populations in acute care, outpatient, and in-home settings, including chemotherapy, blood products, pain management, hydration, long-term antibiotics, phlebotomy, and blood donor services, with specialized expertise in the management of HIV/AIDS patients, Lyme disease, long-term antibiotics, patient and family education, and inpatient central venous catheter care. o RN license in both Pennsylvania and New Jersey, certifications in Advanced Cardiac Life Support(ACLS) and Pediatric Advanced Life Support (PALS), since 1991.
