As the Primary Cache’ DBA since inception in year 2011 to Martin Health System’s new Epic EHR (Electronic Health Record), the future main goal was to setup and keep 3-9‘s of availability up time.

To accomplish that, creative budgeting and new hardware purchases had to be made by year 3/4 in order to configure IBM’s Cluster software, along with, put to use creative methods, get all installed, configured, tested, and implemented with new IBM Power 8 Servers and backend Pure Storage Arrays. This allowed the Primary and Disaster Recovery systems to work in tandem (for downtimes), Site to Site by year 5/6.

Key Implementation of new HIS system to Martin Health. Cache’ on AIX is the Heart of the HIS system for over 4000+ internal and external Users. Clustered the Primary Production Database with IBM Clustering Services and implemented Unix into AD Authentication.

Implement and upgrade to MOSS 2007 from Sharepoint 2003. Bringing to the table email notification to the Organization. Creation of the Executive Team dashboard with a 24 hour snapshot and year-end projections via provisioning customized and hand built ASPX webpages.

Implementation of Sharepoint 2003 to the Health System. Bring 3000+ plus users and over 120+ Teams and Departments to collaborate, store HIPAA regulations, and fundamental corporate wide documents together for internal access in the Organization.
