To Whom It May Concern:

I learned of your need for a litigation secretary through an online search, and I believe I would be a good fit for this position. I have a law degree and have worked in the legal field for nearly two decades. During my recent work at the Law Offices of Tamiko O. Moore, my caseload consisted of family, criminal, immigration and civil actions. Prior to this, I was employed in a law firm owned by my ex-husband, where I was responsible for a broader variety of cases. My time was split between breach of contract and bad faith cases, where I helped in research and defense of insurers. I was fortunate to be mentored by Ms. Moore during the years I worked in her office. In addition, I had the opportunity to assist in a number of tasks including drafting pleadings, appearing at motions and hearings, assisting in taking depositions, attending mediation and coordination of settlement negotiations. Currently, I seek a full time or a part time position that fits my experience and schedule, a position that enables further growth and development of my skill set, a larger variety of cases, and long-term career goals.

I would appreciate the opportunity to discuss my qualifications with you, and I hope to hear from you in the near future.

Sincerely,

Miranda Martin
