Personnel Management
I manage/direct more than 145 associates with salaries ranging from $80,000 to minimum wage. I feel it is important to develop the supporting staff through ongoing coaching, training and goal setting. Operations Management
I have been responsible for driving the top and bottom line of a P&L statement for over 20 years. This has been easy for me because I think and act like an owner. I have been managing sales of $1,000,000 a week and EBITDA of $1,250,000. I build business through relationships, merchandising, ad support and production to achieve YOY sales increases. Another aspect of this responsibility is cost control measures including; labor, shrink, supplies, benefits, cost of goods, asset protection and utilities.
I define leadership as coaching/developing others through constructive feedback while training them to obtain consistent success, which in turn allows for an efficient system to hold its own weight evenly. COMMUNICATION
Speaking with outside companies is common in my position. I deal with companies selling to me. Wineries, Frito Lay, Coke, Budweiser and brokers are some examples of large companies that I speak with frequently. Vendor
(sales) relationships are an important part of my daily business. I also attend food shows with corporate sales reps. Holding conference calls and director meetings are routine in my position. TRAINING
