EXPERIENCE

JUNE 2001 – NOVEMBER 2019

MACHINE OPERATOR, PRECISION METAL WORKS INC.

Started in 2001 grinding and drilling compressor frames, excelled in this area and worked my way up to welder/fitter in a year. I remained in this position for 6 years, in this time I learned to read blue prints, fit/assemble parts to customer satisfaction, lay out holes in parts, perform quality control procedure, and better grind/polish finished parts for shipment. In 2007 I received an opportunity to operate the water jet cutting machine, which allowed to better my skill set by learning how read/use dial calipers, performing routine maintenance, trouble shooting problems, programing and pathing parts with the flow path software. While performing my daily duties on the water jet, I learned how to operate a Mazak laser. I learned how to trouble shoot this machine, send programs to the machine, and how to program machine using cad software. I then got promoted to floor supervisor in 2017 where I was responsible for quality control, loading/unloading trucks with forklift, inventorying material, and making sure day to day shop operations moved smoothly. In June of 2018 my supervisor retired, I was removed from my lead position due to upper management changes, I presently run Mazak laser, roll parts using different size rolling machines, and operate press brakes.

NOVEMBER 2019 – PRESENT

FABSHOP LEADMAN, NORSHIELD SECURITY PRODUCTS

i began in November of 2019 as the laser and press brake operator, within 5 months I was promoted to fab shop leadman.
