As a certified surgical technologist, I gained experience in various Atlanta hospitals from 1990-2000, gaining a position on the operating room trauma team allowed me to accrue experience in general and specialty procedures. My medical skills allowed me to collaborate with perioperative staff to maintain a safe and sterile environment while following the regulations and professional standards of the hospital. Proven ability to create precise documentation per hospital policy including but not limited to pre-op, intra-op, and post-op documentation. Assisting and circulating the operating room suite include: GYN; C-section, abdominal and vaginal hysterectomy, posterior repair, tubaligation, laparotomy inquinal, and imbilical hernia repair. Plastic; lateral and bi-lateral mastectomies, and breast biopsies. Orthopedic; BKA/AKA, rotary repair cuff, bunionectomy with k-wire and screws implant, and trauma.
