Roadside Technician:
I was responsible for attending call outs to customer’s broken down vehicles both roadside and at home. My objective was to get the vehicle mobile if possible and escort the customer to the dealer and arrange loan vehicle if need be. Parts stock, sales and purchases, overtime sheets, bonus sheets, phone account, vehicle log sheets, fuel slips as well as job cards were to be completed. I have also attained technician of the month award 4 times for the year of 2005.

Workshop Foreman:
Responsibilities were to delegate daily workload, provide in-house training, carry out all electrical repairs as well as re-programming ECU’s to updated specifications. Also carried out quality control on all vehicles as well as handing over of all vehicles to customers. Carried out certain costing duties as well as follow up calls. Was also responsible for consumables and accounts as well as liaison officer with manufacturer. Vehicles covered were all Nissan branded vehicles, passenger and light commercial.

Responsibilities were to delegate daily workload, provide in-house training,. Also carried out quality control on all vehicles. Carried out maintenance and repairs on all vehicles, i.e. busses. PAU, cargo transporters, baggage handling equipment, high loaders and tugs. Formulate and forward reports on daily activities of vehicles in workshop for repairs and vehicles completed that’s available for use.

I regard myself as a hardworking, dependable and reliable person to both my colleagues and employer and believe that I can be an asset to the company because of my 100% application attitude and do not believe in attempting anything if I do not intend on following it through. I believe that my experience along with my knowledge and expertise puts myself in an ideal position for further growth.
I also finished in second place in the nationals technician of the year competition with Nissan South Africa, hosted by the manufacturer called NISTEC in 2008 of which there was over 3000 entrants I achieved top position for my province that same year. I have also completed my MAN Electrical diagnostic course which was the last course I attended.
