Typical daily tasks may include some or all of the following:

●Managing phone calls, employees, spreadsheets, invoicing, budgets, expense reports

●Lead conversion, client scheduling, route planning and dispatch

●Pitching, negotiating, and drafting contracts, forging company partnerships

●Training of new hires (personally trained two in 2020 and 2021, both of whom are still under my employ)

●Managing online presence: SEO, SMO, digital marketing, Google Business, etc.

●Property maintenance, asphalt and concrete maintenance and repair; workplace safety protocols with propane torches, concrete saws, and hazardous materials (e.g., coal-tar emulsion, asphalt emulsion, low-VOC sealants)

In 2014, I founded an asphalt maintenance and repair company that now services much of the GTA. The past two years have been focused on scaling operations, and I am responsible for all day to day management activities as well as the majority of the physical labour involved. We are still a small company, but in 2021 were nominated for the Canadian Business Award and we are poised to buy out a major local competitor in 2023. Specifics of prior employment history are available upon request. Outside of conventional employment, which has been primarily in the labour sector, I have extensive environmental volunteer experience with organizations such as Credit Valley Conservation, work for which I received a Conservation Award; LitterNot, for whom I have volunteered seasonally for over ten years; World Wildlife Fund, and the Great Canadian Shoreline Cleanup, and have participated in a number of research projects working with the chair of the Department of Environment at UTM.

OBJECTIVE

To secure a stable, part-time job to supplement my income working somewhere that I enjoy, ideally during evenings and weekends.
