Duties Provide full range of professional technical consultancy services in the domain of construction, building science and building envelope related sectors: (wall cladding, roofing, waterproofing, geocomposites/geosynthetics, flooring, aggregate coatings, concrete repair, insulated concrete forms, etc.), materials testing, quality management

(QA/QC), innovation evaluation, assessment of research programs and Code compliance. Provide forensic analysis and inspections of building envelopes failures. Investigation on durability and fire safety compliances. Problem-cause analysis & effective problem solutions. Delivering capacity on: Computational Fluid Dynamics Analysis (CFD) Modeling (heat, air, moisture smoke, transport analysis); energy performance of reflective and non-reflective enclosed air spaces in building envelopes

(insulation, curtainwalls, & windows applications.). Design specification and optimization of green-roof systems. Wind uplift testing optimization of roofing systems. Product development, design and installation of prefabricated insulated metal curtain wall systems.

Position Laboratory Manager

Al-Riyadh Metro Project (RMP) Bechtel – Al Mabani – Consolidated Contractors Company (CCC) – Siemens Consortium (BACS). Dec 2014 – May 2016. Duties Manage the 3 testing laboratories related to the $11 billion USD Riyadh Metro Project, Kingdom of Saudi Arabia. Responsible of all testing, reporting, and correction measures related to all soil, water and concrete testing as conducted by a team of 250 plus engineers and technicians.

1988 to 2017

Position Senior Materials Evaluation Engineer

National Research Council Canada (NRC); Construction Portfolio Canadian Construction Materials Centre (CCMC).

Duties Conduct technical evaluations of innovative construction materials, equipment and systems for Canadian government. Publish Technical Guides and Building Materials Evaluation Reports for use by Provincial regulators for building code compliance.

Lead team of scientists and consultants in the development of assessment protocols, and procedures. Establish whenever necessary policies, procedures and construction techniques to deal with issues related to performance, health and safety. Participate as a voting member in technical committees operated by standards’ writing organizations. Maintain effective liaison with senior levels of various government agencies, Federal/Provincial/Municipal and building industry. Prepare and negotiate contract proposals, and manage contract development, execution and completion. Coordination, liaison and interface between clients, manufacturers, regulators and stakeholders.

Facilitate the international acceptance of construction products through networking with International Conformity Assessment Organizations such as: Centre scientifique et technique du bâtiment (CSTB) France / British Board of Agrément

Duties Duties and responsibilities included site inspection and supervision of construction projects for Department of Defence. Position required thorough knowledge in engineering, construction practices, materials, equipment and ability to work with contractors and trades people.
