Transcribed time-coded interviews to be used in training videos for the United States Army and various police departments throughout California. Topics included homicide, racial profiling, explosive devices and more. It was remote work and was a great experience. I learned quite a bit and was able to work independently.
1993-2007 Superior Court of California – Civil Litigation Case Manager, Vista, CA
Started out as a cashier in the Clerk’s Office. Took in large sums of money. Register always balanced. Trained others. Next, streamlined procedures for domestic violence filings. Developed a cohesive, simplified speech for domestic violence victims regarding all pertinent procedures, responsibilities and requirements involved. Then, worked in Civil Law & Motion and eventually worked with two judges as their Case Manager. Handled cases from the date of filing until they went to trial. Case load of up to 1000 cases. Very high call volume on multi-line phone from attorneys, litigants and other judges. Trained judges on Civil Law & Motion rules and Fastrack guidelines. Scheduled all cases for hearings/trial dates. Coordinated weekly calendars for judge.

I was hired when the Giant Pandas were on loan from China. The response was huge. I worked in the Panda Shop, next to the exhibit, and there were days when my single register took in over $78,000. My register was the only one that balanced to the penny every day, so was given the promotion to helping others try to do the same.
