Positions: Field Technician (RAN technician)

Duration: February 2017 to May 2020

Duties:

Maintenance of Nokia Siemens (Legacy and Air scale equipment), Fault-Finding, installations and swapping of equipments at height and in the container.

QA (Quality Assurance) for Nokia Siemens (Vodacom) on all Antenna installations. This includes supporting the installers and ensuring that the client spec is correctly followed with the best quality of work.

RAN technician for Vodacom. This includes Attending and clearing RAN (Nokia), VSWR, Environmental Alarms and Power related Faults.

RAN technician for Ericsson MTN (RF installation for Ericsson (MTN) 4G and 3G upgrades on the MTN (Ericsson) network. This includes the following).

Installation and Integration of Basebands units

Installations and connection Power DB’s (e.g. 4x4PDU or SPD-PDU)

Routing and Connections of Optic Fibre and DC power cables to the RRU’s

Installation of RRU’s Rail or RBA solutions

Installations of New RF antennae with Triplexers and TMA’s were required.

SRS, QA, inspection, Site Sweeps, 3Z Alignment, PIM tester and other Documentation to complete the site upgrade.

COMSOL Microwave installation (Point to Multipoint)

Installation, routing CAT5e cable, RJ45 connector and Panning
