ACHIEVEMENTS

Co-ordinated and maintained a strict control on compaction of material from subgrade to base course layer, for all road projects, to ensure maximum compaction at optimum moisture content, thereby reducing the possibility of subgrade failure to 5% and its attendant maintenance cost.

Designed and archived concrete mix design for all grades of concrete, with varying sizes of coarse aggregate and their corresponding compressive and flexural strength, to reduce the time of preparation of quantity takeoff by 50%.

Implemented the use of detailed deep soil investigation on all high-rise building and bridge projects, to establish the bearing capacity of the soil at the proposed locations, which would aid in the pile location decision, to ensure that the pile load test always meets specification, thereby eliminating the possibility of pile load test failure and the cost of remedial actions.

Trained and mentored my team on best practices on quality control and assurance in construction industry.

Investigated soil materials from potential borrow pits, and carried out full soil classification to ascertain the classes of soil materials obtainable from the pits, suitable for subgrade and sub-base in order to achieve subgrade stability and overall best performance for all road and bridge projects.
