Experiences during FNP program
Provided care to patients by taking health history and performing physical assessment, diagnosing the patient ailment using critical thinking, diagnostic and assessment skills and providing treatment and evaluation of the recommended treatment plan. Conducting a systematic complete health assessment for patients across all ages including women and pediatric population, identifying both normal and abnormal responses and developing plans for treatment initiating and constantly evaluating the outcome of care. Under the supervision of the physician performed delegated duties such as differential diagnosis, prescription of drugs and treatment of various primary care problems, following established orders, practice guidelines, and protocols. The total hours of my advanced nurse practitioner experience include 288 hours of primary care, 144 hours of women’s health and 144 hours pediatric care. I have seen an average of 15 to 20 patients per day during this time.
