Once Austal took over the yard I rolled over to Shore. June 2020- 6-01-2021
I was hired by Marrs as the new paint department superintendent. Responsible for the entire department & managing all projects. I was required to work 60 days through pheonix as a contractor before being hired full time. Before completion of my 60 days Austal took over the shipyard & pheonix was not a contractor after that. Two weeks later I accepted a job with Shore at austal west campus as a 1st class / class A painter / Fitout. ( non supervisor) I was still being used to plan & manage projects on the dry dock. I worked closely with the dock master planning the internal overhaul of tanks. I was responsible for getting the rental equipment & materials needed to complete the job. I bid the job on how long it would take & man power needed. I was responsible for setting up
& maintaining equipment, supervising workers, managing the night shift, maintaining conditions, quality control & daily reports. I also sand blasted & spray painted as needed when I was short on man power. I also calculated how much paint would be needed based on the square footage and required thickness.
Austal USA 6-01-2021. 5-1-2022
I work at austal west campus for the company, performing the same tasks as above when I was a temporary employee.
