My name is Robert Grover and my work experience is varied and wide. For the past 17 years I have worked in public education, as a classroom teacher and paraprofessional, working in small groups and one on one with students with special needs. In that capacity I have sharpened computer skills, which include most email programs, the Microsoft Office Suite (Word, Excel, Slides, Photoshop, et al) in addition to highly specific site geared for learning challenged students. Learning new computer programs is challenging, yet exciting work and something I have always found comes to me relatively easy.

Other work experience includes extensive customer service relations, public speaking and bookkeeping, as both a retail manager and the Deputy Direct of a First Amendment protection organization, and managing a staff of more than a dozen employees. From the decade I spent in retail, working a variety of positions, from shipping/receiving manger to retail manager. Skills acquired and honed during this period are effective scheduling, personnel managerial tactics such as conflict resolution and de escalation, as well as product ordering, maintenance of inventory and bookkeeping.

I have also worked in publishing, acting as an editor for a small publisher, Kitchen Sink Press, and in an advisory capacity for several Time/Warner publications for DC Comics. In the later capacity I helped with the selection and sequencing of materials for anthology editions, where in the former I contributed to new product creation and marketing. The culmination of all these experiences have made it possible for me to slide into new positions with minimal training and excel. I look forward to new challenges and love to continue growing as a worker and person.
