PROFILE
Dr. Katz is residency trained and board certified in occupational and environmental medicine. She is a fellow of the American College of Occupational and Environmental Medicine (OEM); specializes in the prevention and management of work and environmental injury, illness and disability, and the promotion of health and productivity of workers, their families, and communities. Dr. Katz’s experience includes consulting, hospital-based, university-affiliated health systems and corporate-based occupational medicine. She is active in state and national professional societies. In her prior role, Dr. Katz liked serving as interim Medical Director within a large manufacturing plant where, in addition to traditional occupational medicine practice that she is passionate about, she felt privileged to assist with developing and putting into practice the evolving protocols that kept employees at and returning to work safely from COVID-19. Most recently, Dr. Katz served as medical director of a university, hospital-affiliated “outward facing” program where she enjoyed providing surrounding community businesses with occupational programs tailored to the specific businesses while teaching and empowering her team the core principles of Occupational Medicine. In her free time Dr. Katz loves traveling, baking treats and cooking healthy plant-centered foods, being active outdoors with her family and participating in community and faith-based programs.
