Experience: Store and district Manager for Walmart stores and Montgomery Ward.

I was a district manager for Montgomery Ward in Pittsburgh, PA in 1990 when some executives from Walmart were in the area reviewing Walmart stores when they also reviewed some of the Montgomery Ward stores I was responsible for and decided to invite me to Bentonville, AR and meet Mr. Sam (Sam Walton) and to be interviewed by their HR executives. I was hired a few days later.

2003-present: Bishop, Leader, Teacher, decision maker and speaker in a large church of 230.Walmart Experience: Recruited by Walmart in 1990, 10 years before Montgomery Ward closed.

2000-2003:District Manager for 10 high volume stores in CT, NJ, NY and PA lowest volume store at $23 million highest $98million with P&L responsibility for $300million in sales and $15million in net profit

1990-2000: Store Manager Bay City, MI, Derry, NH, Co-Manager Watertown, NY, Store Manager Berlin, NJ, Benton Harbor, Holland, Monroe and Ypsilanti MI.

My last assignment as a store manager was Ypsilanti, MI that had lost $1.2 million. I recruited a great team and in less than two years we turn that loss to a $356,000 net profit a turnaround of $1,556,000 and I achieved a similar turnaround as the DM in the NY stores and opened 7 new Walmart stores.

Voluntarily resigned from Walmart in 2003 and helped my daughter financially open her family business.

Montgomery Ward Experience:

1985-1990: District Manager for 18 stores in OH, PA, VA and WV. 1977-1985: Merchandise, Operations and Store Manager 1973-1977: Dept. Mgr. Men’s & women’s apparel, Shoes, Lawn & garden, Toys & auto center 1971-1973: Executive management training program

Education:

My business education, training in finance, experience and training in retail management, leadership principles and public speaking courses taught by Sam Walton, Stephen Covey, Norman Vincent Peal and Dale Carnegie instructors among others would be equivalent to a Bachelor Degree in business. I completed Walton institute 1&11 in Bentonville, Arkansas and high school at Belfry High in Belfry, Kentucky.
