C of S) Air Force Headquarters (AFHQ), Acting Director Legal AFHQ, Director Ground Operations (DGO) AFHQ, Deputy DGO AFHQ, Air Operational Coordinating Officer, Overall Operations Coordinating Centre SLAF Station Colombo, Base Commander of SLAF Base Vavuniya, Command Sports Officer (CSO) AFHQ, Command Welfare Project Officer (CWPO) of SLAF Base Ratmalana, Commanding Officer SLAF Station Bandaranaike International Airport (BIA), Chief Fire Officer (CFO) AFHQ and Group Commander SLAF Station Morawewa. In addition, has performed duties as the Chairman of SLAF Covid -19 Control Task Force and Director Helitours (Private) Limited. Is a Qualified Curator of Institute of Groundsmanship from UK and a Qualified Fire Engineer of the Institute of Fire Engineering, UK. Is an outstanding sportsman and have represented Sri Lanka Air Force in ‘A’ division rugby and cricket, obtaining Air Force colors on many occasions. Served as Chairman of Air Force Rugby Team and held the coveted post of Manager of the Sri Lanka National Rugby team for four consecutive years taking the team to victory in the A5N cup 2013. Was in active military service for 37 years and has held Command appointments for 30 years. Was mostly involved in counter-terrorist operations, force protection and humanitarian relief and rescue, and was in charge of the entire Fire Service Operations in the Air Force and the capital, Colombo. Served as lecturer at the Fire Training Centre of SLAF and to-date, remains as one of the highest ever qualified fire service personnel in Sri Lanka.

Graduated from the National Defence College, Mirpur, Bangladesh and Defence Services Command and Staff College in Kelaniya, Sri Lanka respectively.

Specialized in Aero Fire Studies, Fire Operations, Fire Science, Fire Prevention and Structural Fire Engineering etc.

Diploma holder of the National War College USA, and holds diplomas for Counter Terrorism (War College USA), Human Rights, Conflict Resolution, International Relations and Diplomatic Studies (Sri Lanka).

Attended many military and professional courses both in Sri Lanka and USA. Which included; Civil-Military Responses to Terrorism at the Naval Postgraduate School, Monterey, California, USA; International Fellows Research Program at NESA in National Defense University, USA. International Structural Fire Fighting Course at the Fire and Rescue Academy, Malaysia; Battalion Commanders' Course, Quetta, Pakistan, Rescue Operations Course in Indonesia, and completed the Junior Commanders' Course at the Air Force Administrative College, Coimbatore, India.

Completed VVIP/VIP Protection Security course, Government Tender Procedures, basic and advanced administration courses, basic and advanced combat courses and the instructor course at SLAF.

Upon retirement, I chose to retire in Los Angeles where my son currently resides and spend time with family that was lost due to my busy and intensive service career. I have worked as a security consultant for private companies and enjoy contributing to public protection whenever possible.

I enjoy fishing, cycling and as a practicing Roman Catholic, I like attending church services.
