March 2020 to October 2020 Interstate 255 project from Collinsville, Illinois to Interstate 64 intersection at Belleville, Illinois. Road resurfacing completed.

New bridge deck, new asphalt shoulders, and road erosion control completed.

Concrete testing for air content and cylinders.

Project was completed in October 2020 before November 2020 due date.

IDOT and construction companies were gratified about the completion.

March 2018 to September 2018 Route 143 Indian Creek Bridge at Wood River, Illinois included removal and replacement with new bridge.

Tree and brush clearance for drainage.

Supervised, calculated,documented, and recorded new steel H-piling installed for Route 143 Indian Creek Bridge Wood River, IL piers and abutments.

Abandoned Mines Land Reclamation Division

Project Interstate 72 bridge at Riverton, Illinois project was started in January 2011.

It was determined the measured settlements and deflections of the bridge were due to a mine subsidence issue.

Use of plastic borehole casings for the grout to fill the mine were insufficient. This was due to flooding and nearby river. The bottom of plastic borehole casing were squeezed and closed off due to weak plastic materials and increased soil saturation.

To resolve this it was determined to use steel borehole casings for grout to pumped into the abandoned mine.

After the mine was completing grouted routine surveys were conducted throughout the year for verification.

The bridge deflection and settlement had stopped and was completed with survey measuring methods and techniques.
