●I work morning shifts, so I start by delivering breakfast trays to patients.
●When delivering trays I always make sure to read the receipts instructions, because some rooms could be isolated.
●I always make sure to follow C-I-Care standards.
●Before entering a patient's room I ask for permission to come in, introduce myself and my role, and always verify the patient's last name and date of birth.
●I set their tray up accordingly and across from the patient's bed if needed any help.
●Then make sure to courteously exit the room by kindly dismissing myself.
●Every tray has a time limit of 40 minutes from when it gets ordered until it gets delivered, so I plan depending on the amount of trays I have, and which ones were ordered first.
●I make sure that the units I am assigned to deliver milk cartons always get them on time.
●I also help with delivering sandwich meals to the nurses in units like Cancer Center or 500 Pacu and make sure to always get a signature from a nurse.
●I am very familiar with delivering in both locations, 300p and 500p.
●I’ve done the Tray line position, where the trays get revised by a manager and then I put them in 7 different carts depending on the unit the cart gets sent off to.
