Research Associate II (10 years)
I was responsible for testing pre-clinical, clinical, and downstream stability and lot release samples using chromatography, electrophoresis, and immunochemistry assays, as well as a few wet chemistry assays for quality control purposes. After 10 years of cGXP lab experience, I’ve developed an understanding on how to troubleshoot various instruments with little to no supervision. I’m also experienced in writing standard operating procedures for method validation. We had a 21-day turnaround time for samples to be tested and entered in the data management system.
Below is a summary of instruments and methods trained on:
Qualified to perform 37 assays using several analytical biochemical techniques, methods, and instruments under cGXP environment to test proteins and small molecules for pre-clinical, clinical, in-process, drug substance lot release, and stability samples.
Agilent Technologies’ ChemStation and OpenLab software for using High Pressure Liquid Chromatography 1100, 1200, 1260 Infinity, and 1290 Ultra Pressure Liquid Chromatography instruments for performing Size Exclusion Chromatography, Reversed Phase Chromatography, Ion Exchange Chromatography, and Affinity Chromatography methods on several types of MEDI-projects/assays in order to determine the percent purity, concentration, and/ or fragmentation levels of proteins being tested.
Perform column coupling and column conditioning, and self-diagnostic tests on HPLC instruments and columns, as well as minor troubleshooting.
Agilent Technologies’ 2100 BioAnalyzer and software in order to determine the protein size and purity for molecules of in-process, drug substance, in-process, and stability samples.
Protein Simple iCE280 Fast IEF Analyzer and Protein Simple iCE3 instrument
PhastSystem’s Separation Control and Development units 120 VAC to determine the identity and purity of proteins by using native Isoelectric Focusing PAGE gels for in-process, drug substance lot release, and stability samples.
Performing minor troubleshooting for the BioAnalyzer and PhastSystems.
Bio Rad GS-800 Calibrated Densitometer and its software.
