UNITED STATES CUSTOMS AND BORDER PROTECTION 2003-2020 U.S. Customs & Border Protection Officer (2003-2020) Serves as an Anti-Terrorism Contraband Enforcement Team (AT-CET) Officer, focusing on disabling and preventing terrorism- related persons or resources from entering the United States at the southern border. Enforces all federal immigration and customs laws and determines rights of individuals to enter the U.S. by reviewing documents and conducting interviews. Apprehends and detains individuals who violate federal immigration, customs, agriculture, or other laws. Coordinates with federal, state, and local agencies for canine callouts and providing expertise in concealment methods.
• Led initiative for probable cause search warrant resulting in apprehension of suspects and seizure of 1,786 pounds of marijuana, involving 2 houses and 2 vehicles.
• Participates in DARE and K9 outreach programs, educating and engaging hundreds of kids grades K-10 at local schools and the Boys and Girls Club.
• Apprehended and extradited 2 murder suspects by stopping 2 stolen vehicles while working outbound operations.

Canine Enforcement Officer (2003-2019)
Managed canine in the detection of illegal substances and dangerous chemicals entering the U.S. Apprehends and detains those in violation of federal law and works with other law enforcement agencies to determine and process individuals. • Responded in the wake of Hurricane Katrina, designated as Special Louisiana Officer member of the Response Team, coordinated resources and response efforts across multiple agencies to restore order and property to CBP officers.
