Looking for a job between 25 and 30 hours a week
I love all animals and decided that that is the path I want to pursue in life
I have been reaching out to veterinarians around me to shadow or start an internship, but while waiting, I began job-searching as well
I have experience with taking care of dogs, cats, ferrets, ducks, geese, chickens, bunnies, hamsters, rats, etc., as I have had a plethora of animals and creatures throughout my life.
I also have experience with some larger animals, like horses, goats, donkeys, cows, etc.
I do hunt and I have been around animals that had to be euthanized, so that is not a concern for me
I am very personable and emotional, so I am excellent at customer service and connecting with clients.
I have experience with house sitting and pet sitting, as animals love me and tend to cater towards me.
I have worked as a life guard, a pool manager, at the Lehigh Valley Zoo, and most recently, as a customer assistant and cashier at True Value Hardware, which has given me my background in customer assistance and how to speak to customers.
I am trained in first aid, CPR, AED, stop the bleed, etc.
I played softball my whole life and was a team captain my junior and senior years of varsity softball, which taught me leadership and how to work as a team to achieve good end results.
I was student council President and National Honors Society President my senior year of high school as well.
I work very well with others and do not like to over step, but I also make sure my job gets done as it is supposed to and I am always open to suggestions and feedback.
I know my role in the workplace, which is what has allowed me to make this decision to work in animal medicine.
This is the path I want to pursue, and I know I will put my heart and mind to it if given the chance at your clinic.
