My job responsibilities when I started out as. Teller: provide excellent member service, cash handling, all teller transactions and opening new accounts, cross sell products and services to meet the members needs for convenience to access their account and money, replenish ATM machines and balance them as well as cash machines and vault, keeping security and confidentiality a priority.

I was promoted to Member Service Representative in 1996:

My responsibilities were taking applications for all types of consumer loans, including, verification of identity, income, credit report and calculating deft ratios for approval or declining, educating credit worthiness and how to improve it, explaining rates, terms, products and getting required signatures. I also opened CD’s and IRA’s including performing the proper transactions accurately required by Federal government guidelines. In this position there were a lot of other responsibilities to meet members needs, including notary services and keeping documentation of identity of person signing and the type of documents that were notarized.

In September 2015 I was promoted to Mortgage loan originator:

I had a base salary of $50k and now received commission. I made $130k in 2016 and $125k in 2017.

My duties were to originate New purchases,Home Equity loans, refinance homes and also issue Approval Letters.

Received and reviewed purchase contracts. Federal guidelines in October of 2015 changed and I had three days to enter the application, verify identity, review credit report and income, calculate the closing costs, homeowners insurance, property taxes, PMI if needed. I would take appointments via phone and send all documents via email for electronic signatures or schedule face to face appointments and print forms for signatures. I traveled to all AscendFCU offices in Rutherford County and sometimes go to Nashville branches. I would send all signed documents of the application, income verification, contract, identity verification and any other documentation that might be needed on a case by case basis. This all needed to be done in a timely manner due to contract closing date being met and to avoid penalties of the October 2015 new mortgage documents changes.

Awards and Acknowledgements

I received a bonus every year for being in the top ten loan officers that processed and for dollar amount of closed loans. I also received many certificates, bonuses for protecting loans with life and disability insurance. Lots of Excellent Member Service plaques in every job I have ever had.

Gap in Employment:

I was let go from AscendFCU on 11/28/2017 due to absenteeism

I was diagnosed with Vertigo so I had surgery on my right ear in May 2019 to correct the Vertigo

Covid happened my oldest 66 year old sister had Dementia.
