Objective

My objective is to maintain my management position to further my career as a railroad leader. Experience

Division Manager - RJ Corman Railroad Group - May 2020 to Present

Manage operating budget and supervise the daily operations of train crew to meet customer needs. Oversee efficient operation through planning and control of daily operations, crew scheduling/supervising and coordinating with the local railroad for railcar placement. Manage the compliance of switching operations to company policies, procedures, and practices in all areas, including accounting, inventory, purchasing, equipment usage and maintenance, expense and time reporting, human resources, safety, and DOT. Establish safe operating procedures for employees, vehicles, and equipment, assures compliance with all applicable federal, state, and local employee safety (AAR, FRA, and OSHA) regulations. Monitor the daily operation of all switching activity and trouble shoots issues that impact efficient operation, manage labor, equipment, and other costs within pre-approved budgets, Maintains data and information and produces weekly or monthly reports to monitor switching operation performance, provide other management reports necessary to monitor and continuously improve operating activities as well as fulfill financial reporting requirements of the company. Hire new employees, recruit, select places and arrange for job training for all switching crew personnel. Enforce work safety and conduct rules, while ensuring proper implementation of effective disciplinary procedures and when required, determine, and carry out termination actions within established company guidelines. Assess divisional employees' performance using company approved evaluation process and forms. Develop teamwork and work with all levels of personnel in achieving switching operation objectives.

Assistant Division Manager - RJ Corman Railroad Group — January 7, 2019 to May 2020

Managing workers, equipment, and materials, ordering supplies and maintaining budget as well as inputting and approving payroll follow and enforce rules and regulations to enhance performance and maintain a safe working environment, inspect and approve rail work, interact and coordinate with customers to enhance and improve great relationships, hire employees, schedule and coordinate employee training and working schedules maintain and approve locomotive maintenance, responsible for the monthly revenue closing cost including employee wages and staying within budget.

Assistant Division Manager - RJ Corman Railroad Group — March 2018 to December 2018

Managing workers, equipment, and materials also enforce rules and regulations to enhance performance and maintain a safe working environment, travel to different locations to help train and improve current and future employees.

Locomotive Engineer/Conductor - RJ Corman Switching Company — October 2017 to March 2018

Responsible for safe and efficient operation of the locomotive, Operation of Locomotive – which requires full mobility in seated position facing forward and to the side, requires the manipulation of throttle and brake controls as well as interpreting gauges and controls, must be able to manipulate the valves and switches both inside and outside of the cab, apply and release handbrakes, ascends and descends steps and ladders to get on and off the equipment, takes directions from conductors and brakeman, service the locomotive.

Employee In Charge (EIC) - RJ Corman Railroad Protective Services — May 2017 to October 2017

Assist in the safe and efficient operation of the contractors and employees working on mainline railroad, responsible for ensuring that all workers are compliant with FRA rules and regulations, responsible for talking with oncoming trains and talking them through the work zone, E-rail safe certified, duties include but not limited to flagging, dispatch communication, train communication, coordinating schedules, daily job and safety briefings

The main communication in coordinating train movement, loading operations, and customer service, monitor train and engine service activity and inactivity as required to meet service demands and increase productivity, provide precise and clear instructions for the switching and placement for car orders, pulls, and safety of train crews, accurately entering date into the software system, handling waybills for customer shipments and coordinating deliveries with daily car counts, responsible for the monthly revenue closing cost, maintaining close relationships with multiple customers per shift to track and supply their product on time.

Yard Clerk - CSX Transportation — June 2006 to September 2008

Daily maintenance for train crews to provide them with up to date paperwork and safety bulletins, assure the safety of loading and transportation of train crews from the train to yard office, walking trains each shift to document incoming train cars.
