2004 International & Domestic RCDD Instructor of the Year February 11, 2005 – Bothell, WA – Dave Sanders,

Director of Sales for Leviton’s Voice & Data Division, was named 2004 International & Domestic RCDD Instructor of the Year. The award was presented by CET, a BICSI approved instructional facility, on January 22nd at the Orlando BICSI conference. This is the first time an RCDD trainer has ever been awarded both the international and domestic honors.

Dave has taught several hundred of the 7000 RCDDs in the world but perhaps his most significant accomplishment is his students’ success rate. Eighty percent of Dave’s students pass the RCDD exam after attending his class. With his average pass rate and one class from which every single test-taker passed, Dave is way ahead of the industry pass-rate average of 25%. Dave attributes his success to personal passion and Leviton support. As he puts it, “When I show up to teach a class I’m really showing up to make a difference in people’s lives. I want to help them achieve their dreams. The fact that they are Leviton customers - end-users, distributors, engineers, and contractors - and they collectively nominated me for this honor, that’s a dream for me.” Dave goes on to say, “Leviton has made it possible for me to help so many people. Dave has been a CET instructor for over 3 years, and prior to that, designed and taught four networking classes for the University of California at Davis, where he is now an adjunct professor. He is one of only 97 people worldwide who hold the prestigious BICSI “Triple Crown”, all three RCDD, NTS (LAN) and OSP certifications, but he’s hoping more RCDDs will achieve the additional certifications. In addition to motivating thousands of people through his public speaking, Dave has taught several hundred of the 7000 RCDDs in the world, and is known for the phenomenal pass rate of his students.
