Seeking a new challenge to further my career in the radiology field.

I am a Certified Radiology X-Ray and Computed Tomography technician. I’ve been working in this field since 1998 when I started at Delta Medical, Lansing doing MA work and X-Ray, including IV’s and vitals. Since graduating I have continued to grow into my field, working in an ER environment with portable CT’s, performing cardiac and calcium studies, and most recently managing an entire CT facility encompassing everything from scheduling, scanning, to submission of 3D studies to radiologists.

Radiology and CT technician / Sparrow Hospital, Lansing MI 06/2000 – 06/2002

Held dual role whilst at Sparrow Hospital. Lead technician Radiology for surgery department, oversaw all morning portable CT’s and coordinated surgeries throughout the day. Additional weekend role was as a small team managing individual treatment rooms and the scanning of traumas/outpatients as required throughout the shift.

Radiology CT 2 Tech / Spectrum Health, Grand Rapids MI 06/2002 – 10/2017

Responsible for starting all IV’s, initiating lab work if required, monitoring stats, I-stat and creatine levels for all outpatients. In addition, covered similar functions for Emergency Room department, scanning cardiac studies, scanning portable CT’s on inpatients and cannot travels departments.

Lead CT technician / East Beltline Imaging, Grand Rapids MI 10/2017 – present

Responsible for running the entire CT department. Day to day includes full head to toe scans and complete 3D work, I’m additionally accountable for complete patient intake, including insurance authorizations, scheduling, IV’s, vitals, drug administration as required and hydration.

Activities

Enjoy running and working out regularly, like to travel, discovering new places in our camper as well as art fairs. Recently helped as assistant coach to my son’s soccer team, and actively participate/coordinate neighborhood food drives and events.
