Inspect ware using special instruments and precise measurements and a close eye for detail.
Lab testing making sure it meets the customers criteria and expectations. Verify all automatic inspection equipment is working properly. Make sure all 5 lines are flowing freely watching for jam ups. When unjamming a line make sure you do it in a safely manner. Report all defects to the hot end manufacturing department. If any critical ware found complete proper procedures and keep samples and document all action taken in the computer data base. Document all defects found in the computer. Maintain lehr temperatures and lehr sprays. Pick up any down or leaning ware on the lehr to keep it from falling. The job requires you to multitask and yet being able to resolve any issues that may occur. Fast pace job. Able to work unsupervised and make important quality decisions. Responsible for maintaining shop and communicate with maintenance. I currently work a 7 day work week and I work a swing shift.
