GENERAL RESPONSIBILITIES AS A DENTIST

Examine patients, look out for signs and symptoms of diseases of teeth and other related problems.

Make use of X-rays to diagnose and other tests where necessary.

Look out for general health concerns which may have signs and symptoms that appear in the mouth such as the oral manifestation of HIV and Diabetes.

Examine the teeth, oral soft tissues related to the tongue, mouth and gums.

Provide patients with information after all oral treatment procedures.

I give information to patients on how to control and prevent tooth decay.

Give information on how to maintain good oral hygiene and remove dental plaque.

Cautious chairside assistance.

Set up instrument trays.

Select and hand instruments to the dentist during dental procedures.
