I am a Senior Accountant/Corporate Controller. My experiences in different industries, as will be presented further down in this document. I have worked directly with the Federal and State governments who are very large consumes of items that I have helped to produced. I have created new defense items for our Military plus have a extensive knowledge of computers and softwear.

Truetech, Inc.

Vice President/Corporate an Production Controller. I was hired to replace one of the original executives of the company who was the Contact Administrator. I grew the position into Contract administration, Direct Contact with U.S. Military Defense Buyers, Planning and Creating work orders for many different sectors of the production personnel, Invoicing and inventory control. During my 11 years with the company until they were sold and closed the operation on Long Island. I was offered to relocate to Ohio.

Muri-Lu Knitting Mills, Inc.

Production Controller/Quality Control

Muri-Lu Knitting Mills, Inc. was a vertical sweater production company. When I was hired they needed to improve production and quality. The other major problem was that imports of sweaters from other countries was making it very hard to compete. First I worked with our Supervisors in the different departments to see if we could increase production while keeping quality the same.

With my constant supervision in the major production areas, production did increase. With my prior contacts, I increased orders for sweaters. I worked closely with the sales department and informed my employer that by outside contracting with smaller businesses in the area we would be able to increase our production. Unfortunately the sweater manufacturing industry died in our country especially in the New York metropolitan area.

I was the last employee to be let go after all other employees were laid off. Best Knitting Mills, Inc.

Vice President/Corporate Controller

Family business: Most summers in my teenage years, I worked in many different areas of the business. After taking Bookkeeping and Computer courses in High School, I helped the Bookkeeper do Computerized Payroll, Invoicing and Accounts Receivable. I attended sales meetings and made samples of new sweaters. Solomon Kamen,CPAʼs and Margolin, Weiner and Evans, CPAʼs Senior Accountant in both firms. I started working part-time while in my Sophomore year in college for Solomon Kamen. Upon graduation he hired me full time as a Senior Accountant. I was performing Write-ups, Compilations, Reviews and preparing work papers and parts of Audits as needed and State, City and Federal Tax Returns for Businesses and Individuals. While working at Margolin, Weiner & Evans, CPAʼs where I was on the Partner Track, my family business which my parents and siblings needed me to take over to keep them in business.

My various positions, careers and education has given me excellent experiences so that I can fit into almost every situation in the corporate world. Lawrence Machtinger
