Work Experience:

USDA Helper, Smithfield, Tar Heel, NC May 2017 – Current

• While performing liaison to USDA inspectors, Veterinarians, plant management, my supervisors, peers, and other facility management personnel I ensure compliance with rules, regulations, and standards.

• During my time as an USDA helper in the world’s largest pork processing facility, I provide assistance to USDA personnel regarding the ante-mortem inspection of animals. I accurately and clearly communicate information to the USDA inspector verifying segregation procedures during their inspection of livestock.

• I have 12 years of animal handling knowledge and experience in the areas of regulations, company policies and procedures regarding the management and handling of animals.

• I am responsible for entering all the farm paperwork, scale/weights, and receiving paperwork into the PigPro system.

• It was my responsibility in moving the hogs from the truck / receiving holding pen to the barn / lairage holding pens.

• I also had to keep an accurate count of each hog to ensure the accountability of each hog that enters the facility.
