activities. Participating in meetings with the Project Manager to inform about the project progress and future goals; Elaboration of Calculation Reports and Checking of drawings for issuing, etc. Mana Engenharia - Brazil
Structural Engineer – Discipline Lead January 2011 – July 2011 (Temporary) As a Structural Engineer, I was responsible for a team with 12 collaborators, being the principal Civil engineer and leader to design steel and concrete structures exclusively. The main challenge was the tight schedule because the company had assumed an ongoing contract. I used to work with my team overtime to attend the program. I learned so much about team stress, trying at maximum to understand the collaborators at the same time do not affect the progress of the contract. In the final, my team was very well successful. Client: Petrobras – Petróleo Brasileiro
PETROBRAS/ REDUC U-1571 - Contaminated Water Treatment Station (US$ 44 Mi): I was responsible for designing concrete and steel structures, as a floater (Φ 12.0 m), flocculation tank, oxidation tank, aeration tank, nutshell filter, decantation tank, building, pipe rack, platforms, piping supports, drainage galleries, etc. Modification and adequacy of conventional concrete projects to precast projects to accelerate the assembly process, benefiting the construction deadline. PETROBRAS - Nitrogen Fertilizer Factory – FAFEN-SE / RNEST Refinery TRANSPETRO - Replacement of Fuel Loading Arms (Naval Terminal) I was responsible for coordination, supervision, leading and mentoring junior engineers and designers. As a parallel role, I was the company's structural engineer, responsible for designing concrete and steel structures as steel tower for a torch system (Flare), precast thermoelectric station, recovery and reinforcement of piers, tank foundations, etc. Edyce do Chile – Chile/Brazil
Structural Engineer – Discipline Lead October 2002 – October 2003 As a Structural Engineer and Discipline Lead, I was responsible for a Civil team, where the main activity was to produce documents related to steel structures, capable of transporting crude ore from the interior of São Luis, Maranhão, to the Maritime Terminal of Ponta da Madeira. I used to be located in Chile, but sometimes, I was in Brazil to meetings with constructors, attending site requirements. During the project, there were some difficulties because of translating the documents the contract had required from Spanish to Portuguese. There were not enough professionals with the Spanish language knowledge associated with the skills needed. But, in the end, everything has successful.
