Responsibilities:
On a daily and weekly basis, I perform a variety of maintenance tasks on a number of different pieces of MODOT equipment (light and heavy duty) that is assigned to my area. I maintain and repair from two different maintenance buildings a variety of equipment as well as perform emergency repairs “on the road” For my assigned area. I have responsibility for performing PM’s MVI’s and GIs on the equipment with my area, In addition to routine maintenance and repair. I also do equipment modifications as specified. Also, on a seasonal basis, I maintain, repair, calibrate GL 400, ACS, and Force America systems. I coordinate tow services from time to time as needed for equipment that cannot be repaired on the road or vehicles that are stuck. In addition, in the performance of my duties, I conduct various tasks including the ordering and inventory of parts, I process work orders and complete reports associated with vehicle performance tracking. My duties and responsibilities place me on call 24/7 working with a variety of drivers and supervisor thus requiring direct and detailed communications.
