As a tournament assistant, the position was given to a senior high school alumni member of the debate league. The position requires the assistant to arrive at the location of the event to assist with the setup of the necessary materials for the debaters. Throughout the day it is their job to provide snacks, and snacks for the participants. Also, setting up by enlisting volunteers to help serve, while leading to serve the students. Lastly, the role requires them to assist in the clean-up of rooms and materials.
