• Certified Registered Nurse Practitioner in a 36-bed outpatient cardiology unit for patients undergoing procedures such as Right and Left Heart Catheterization, Permanent Pacemaker/Defibrillator Implantation, Electrophysiology Study with Radiofrequency Ablation, and Pulmonary Vein Isolation Roles & Responsibilities

• Review medical records and ensure all documentation is complete and available prior to the patient’s procedure

o Perform and document History & Physical Exam

o Order and interpret lab results and other diagnostic tests including EKG and Echocardiogram

• Manage post-procedural care following general anesthesia, deep sedation, and conscious sedation

• Monitor for procedural complications which include bleeding, arrhythmias, neurologic changes, and hemodynamic changes

o Utilize clinical judgment skills and intervene as necessary by prescribing pharmacologic treatment as well as utilizing non-pharmacologic treatments o Ensure high-quality patient care is provided by nursing staff

• Collaborate and communicate frequently with the interdisciplinary care team including Cardiologists, Cardiothoracic Surgeons, Anesthesiologists, Nurse Anesthetists, and Registered Nurses, to facilitate and expedite patient care

• Perform patient rounds post-procedure and complete discharge summaries, prescribe necessary medications, and ensure follow-up appointments are made

• Educate patients and family members about procedures, expectations, testing, medications, side effects, and possible complications

• Served as TAVR program Interim Valve Coordinator (2 months) o Ensure complete work-up was done for each patient, organize and facilitate interdisciplinary valve conference, facilitate scheduling procedure day for patients, Page 2

directly and frequently communicate with patients, and collaborate with interdisciplinary care team including Edwards Valve Representatives, numerous physicians, and multiple departments
