● This was a newly created position to assist in the growth of the Cardiovascular Surgery Service Line.
● Performed patient rounds on both pre and post-operative patients on telemetry floors, performed assessments, ordered and interpreted diagnostics, ordered therapeutics and interventions as indicated. Completed in collaboration with the Cardiovascular Surgeons.
● Ensured all cardiovascular surgical patients adhered to both SCIP and STS guidelines. 2

● Initiated contact with Primary Care Providers to include them in the new process to facilitate H&P completion and medical/cardiac clearance in an effort to avoid day of surgery cancellations and delays.
