Program Management:

oManage the Colorado State Patrol Cadet (CSP) Program. Reviewing HR data and analytics, metrics, business intelligence, and reporting, including collecting and analyzing large amounts of data (physical and electronic) to support business decisions. Lead cross-functional HR related projects by developing spreadsheets, consolidating data, draw appropriate conclusions and make recommendations to Appointing Authorities, Command Staff and Management. Develop annual cadet program proposals hiring plan, guidance, instructions, and/or material for use by CSP. Ensure CSP complies with Colorado P.O.S.T criteria and CALEA Accreditation. Full cycle recruitment to fill two (2) cadet classes annually.

oOversee the background investigators to ensure work is distributed fairly and to ensure clean, timely background reports are received by the deadline.

Recruitment/Selection:

oPerform job analysis, create job announcements, review and screen applications. Design exam plans for a vast variety of classified positions. Full cycle recruitment to include on-boarding

Job Evaluation/Classification:

oReview job descriptions for quality, validity and determine appropriate classification in the state’s classification system. Consult with supervisors on staffing options and class concepts when classifying a position and determine proper FSLA designation.

Consult/Coaching:

oRespond and handle sensitive personnel issues with confidentiality, tact and discretion.

oEnsuring compliance and educate hiring managers of Department of Personnel Rules and

oProcedure, Federal Employment Law, FLSA, ADA and FML etc.
