After converting all the Financials to SAP, my services were called on to modify the AP system as this was going to stay on the mainframe.

Ryder Systems, Inc., Miami, FL (Feb 2000 – May 2021)

Senior Technical Lead - Transportation and Logistics

Oversaw day-to-day AP (accounts payable), GL (general ledger), and fixed assets modules. Competently embedded SQL statements into COBOL programs. Maintained mainframe interfaces for AP invoices and check data transmitted to financial institutions. Well-versed in the process of collaborating with staff and clients to resolve technical issues. Provided valuable production support 24 hours a day every day, including weekends. Supported filing annual IRS taxes for Form 1099 and other forms, researched audit requests.

Overcame audit concerns and strategically added Walker Financials elements into Endevor by joining forces with Lead Endevor subject matter expert and database administrator. This assisted with subsequent Walker Financials mainframe conversion to Workday (a cloud-based solution), making the process easier to scan jobs and programs.

Developed and maintained IBM’s GERS1 (Global Expense Reporting System) program, included Travel card invoice payment, P-Card GL journal entry(s) and out-of-pocket reimbursement entry(s).

Responsible for overseeing annually processing of ~60,000 vendors\~200,000 invoices\~$400M and ~150,000 non-income generating assets with a $1.5B cost basis.
