•Operate and troubleshoot centrifuges, blood gas machines, patient monitors, CBC machines, etc.

•Performed technical calibrations and small repair for medical instruments, monitoring equipment, and diagnostic machinery.

•Responsible for first-rate surgical & post-surgical care, in compliance with and exceeding IACUC specifications, kept anesthesia equipment operating and up-to-date on inspections, maintained surgical equipment and tools. Experience with sterile processing and autoclave techniques, both gas and steam methods. Responsible for preparation of various types of surgical trays/set-up.

•Performs various biological test on collected samples (i.e. tissue, blood, urine, lymph fluid). Review and maintain accurate USDA animal records. Ensures that all IACUC, USDA, and UTMB protocols are followed. ABSL2 laboratory experience and certification through UTMB.
