After graduating from the University of Maine in 1986 with a B.S. degree in art education, I devoted several years towards developing a body of work which was shown at various galleries throughout New England, and raised my daughter. In 1996 I accepted an art teacher position from Hebron Academy where I worked with youth K-12. This position included core curricular basics and extensive studio courses. I also over saw the campus art gallery and attended school outings which explored the Maine islands, New York City, Boston France and Spain. I left my post in 2012 in order to care for an ill family member. In 2016 I moved to Washington where I settled in and resumed my painting. During my time here I have worked in various jobs including food industry, hospitality, housekeeping and retail/ production.
I have recently moved to Port Townsend where I plan to establish myself as an artist as well as find employment. My most recent position was eliminated due to Covid and I am eager to return to the work force. I miss my former students, teaching, guiding, and the happiness derived from participating in youngsters growth.
