Objective

As a driver, my main responsibilities would be to pick up freight at one location and transport it to another. Pick up loads and organizes goods in an ordered, logical manner. Ensure contents are properly secured inside of the truck to prevent breakage or damage. Notify managers any major maintenance or delivery issues encountered. Communicate with dispatch as needed. Maintenance and service vehicle as needed (refuel, oil change, tire pressure, repairs, etc.)

My duties as a Class A driver could vary by the industry in which you work. In addition to loading and unloading trailer, I fill out paperwork and sign receipts, utilize electronic delivery tracking systems and communicate with dispatchers about schedule or route changes. Make safety a priority at all times. Adhere to company rules and regulations. Perform inspections of vehicle prior to and following each trip. Obey all applicable traffic laws and drive according to the weather/road conditions. Check weather conditions and road reports before departure.

Excellent written and verbal communication and organizational skills. Ability to work under pressure to tight deadlines. Successfully working as a team player, as well as an independent. Ability to follow instructions and deliver quality results as I am eager to learn.
