Set up and operated stranding/closing machines that produced steel cable. Worked with tubular stranders . Loaded steel wire into machines butt welded the wire ran it up the side of the stranger through the dies and out onto a closer bobbin that was later loaded into a closing machine that closed the finished rope. Welding forklift overhead lift measurement with micrometers and calipers as well as 12 hour shift where all involved in my workday.
