IT Specialist 9/1988 through 9/2008

I was hired as the field office IT Specialist reporting directly to HQ in Washington D.C. I handled all their computer needs including PC installation, repair and maintenance, Networking including cabling, installation, training and maintenance. I traveled to all the offices the Field Office supported usually about 35-40 offices many of them overseas.

I advised the local Special Agent in Charge of any major problems, physical security issues, upcoming IT hardware and software issues. I prepared contingency plans for IT failure.

Started computer crime initiative. Scanned computers and networks for evidence. Went out with agents on search warrants, testified in court as an expert witness, helped navy attorneys and special agents build their cases. I was NCIS employee of the year twice.

Gulfport Police Department

Forensics Admin 2/2003 – 11/2003

Assisted the Forensics Detective organize a very over loaded and over worked department. At any one time there were over 500 fingerprint and evidence samples that needed to be analyzed with only one forensics person. There was at least one murder a week which called for the forensics detective to work the crime scene, attend the autopsy with pictures. The forensics department also did the fingerprinting for the public twice a week.

I organized the samples and created a spreadsheet. I processed all the autopsy photos and wrote a report for the case record. I did all the fingerprinting mostly on the machine, ran the prints through the various databases.
