Explanation of Employment Gap

At the beginning of 2016, my wife experienced a series of medical issues that made it impossible for me to continue working, e.g., neurological issues, shingles, and an operation; all occurring at the same time. Finally, as she was recovering, hurricane Irma hit, forcing us to flee. We lived in Naples, Florida, and our home insurance paid for us to run to Gainesville. The nice thing about that coincidence was her neurologist had suggested she go to the University of Florida, in Gainesville, to be evaluated for her neurological problems. We fell in love with Gainesville, was able to sell our manufactured home in Naples and moved here; we never want to live that close to the ocean again. My wife is fully recovered. The bright side of her assessment, it is not serious and requires no medication, in fact, Google the words ‘Head Forward’, it's amazing what this simple condition can do to you, and how simple it is to overcome. Please call my last employer to confirm how good I was with customers, how well I did my job, and how I never missed work, let alone be late for work. I really miss helping people and interacting with co-workers, I truly miss working! One last thought. As I think about my life, it strikes me how often something that at first appeared bad or negative, turned into something positive, given a little time. My wife's health problems, coupled with hurricane Irma, at first appeared to be the worst episode of our lives. And yet, ultimately turned into by far, the best thing that has ever happened to us! My only qualms about having such thoughts are the hundreds of thousands of people who didn’t fare as well through hurricane Irma.
