HEB Cashier
HEB - Midland, TX
July 2021 to May 2022
I started as a bagger giving great customer service, bagging groceries for ever customer and offering extra help as in “ a carry out” provides assistance with their groceries out to their vehicles. I did this for 3 months. Then I got promoted and trained for a cashier position, and that position also had the duties of great customer service and checking people out correctly at the cash register, making sure each person got the correct amount of change back, making sure they got their receipts, making sure I asked them if they had any coupons for any items in their carts, also if anybody had a return I would help them out with that as well. Other than great customer service I also had tasks to do such as making sure my register area was nice and clean, checking my aisle for any items that do not belong and overall just making my area look appealing for our customers at HEB .

• Worked in Soft lines/clothing department. There I was responsible for keeping up with my designated area and making sure all of my racks of clothes and tables were Coordinated by size and neatly folded and neatly hung by size as well. Also making sure to provide great customer service by asking anybody that came by my designated area if they need any help to please let me know. From there if they needed a size and we didn’t have out on the floor I would use our little Devices called I.Ts and on that device it would tell me if we had any back stock, if we did I would take my device and go to the location it directed me to and pull the item from that location. Making sure to always scan to keep up with inventory.
• Also worked In The Back as Ship to Store. When the position came available I was more than happy to take it .
• My responsibilities were to get there early in the morning. Clock in of course and head to the back collect my walkie-talkie and my T.I devices and check on what orders were waiting for me already .
• I would pick orders that would get sent in, pick one and basically go shop for the items, and that meant anything from the front of the store, what was on the floor, to the back of the store witch was everything that we had as back stock. Then put them in my special labeled carts to make sure that one order stayed with the other items it came with. This was to make sure nothing got mixed up when it was time to package everything up at the end of the day .
• Once everything was collected by the designated time everything had to be picked. Then I would start to package everything order together. That would include form boxed print out shipping labels and receipts that will go inside the package and stacking them on a pallet that would later be picked up from the mail services also had a time limit. So I had to make sure I finished everything in time for them to leave the store .
• I would stock / back stock
• Trained on the wave . The wave is a Machine that you can drive around and also will lift you up to the highest point of the back stocks at the back of the store . So if My device was telling to pull and item from the back and it was way high up,I would go and grab the wave and it will raise all the way up to where my item is located .
