Jailer/ Effingham County Sherriff’s Department, Effingham, Ga – Responsible for receiving incoming calls for emergency and non-emergency assistance and dispatches necessary units; maintains custody, controls, and safekeeping of all inmates detained in the city and or county jail. Responsible for performing a variety of general support duties related to communication and records. Operates the 911 system, assigns law enforcement and other emergency services providers to calls for service, and communicates important public safety information to emergency responders and the public.
