Urban arts academy — TEACHERS AIDE

-When working at Urban Arts Academy, the mission was to bring neighborhood

people from diverse cultures by providing creative experiences in the arts with

children and families to develop the gifts of self-expression and community.

“The Urban Arts Academy teaching model is characterized as a fusion of

education, arts, youth development, community building, and family-building skills

as well as to create and nurture a sense of community among all.

-The program offers guidance of teachers and artists who respect the creativity

and diversity of each child; small class sizes in a warm, nurturing environment

that puts the needs of the children first.

Hiawatha School park and rec — Rec plus staff

-Recreation Plus provides year round school age fee based school age childcare

for children that are in Kindergarten (or have completed Kindergarten for

summer), ages 5-12 at neighborhood recreation centers. Activities include STEM,

arts and crafts, walking trips, theme activities, sports and more.
