Objective
To Provide safe, effective, evidence-based practice to patients, contribute to the success of the company, and provide excellent communication and problem-solving skills in facilitating team nursing. By applying my many years of experience to my daily objectives.
Skills and Accomplishments
I am a very determined and thorough individual. When given a task I work hard to get that task done. In wanting to be a wise and prudent nurse, if there is something, I am not sure of I use all resources available until I know the correct course of action. I am very confident in my communication skills as well as my time management skills. I take integrity in being honest and committed. I believe that my 37 years of experience as a nurse would be an asset to any team.
In my 37 years as a nurse, I have acquired and honed skills in the operating room, risk management, psychology, and marketing. I set up an allergy practice for an ENT in 1994 and managed it for six years. This clinic continued under this management plan until 2020, when the practice was bought. I have also held multiple regional positions.
In 2016 I had the honor of being one of three who founded the East Texas Alzheimer’s Alliance (ETAA). I was the president of the board for the ETAA for two years. In my time with the ETAA we started The Longview Wine Festival that was voted the number two attraction for Longview and continues to contribute annually to Longview’s economy as a tourist attraction. The ETAA has successfully raised $256,000 to go towards the programs many benefits.
