Forklift Operator / Rauch North America, Waddell, Az. Reduced pallet staging time by 15% with the implementation of a visual quality inspection process for forklift operators. Responsible for inspecting and swapping out forklift batteries during and at the end of night shift, a process that drastically reduced forklift downtime and boosted overall productivity in the department. Tasked with loading, unjamming, and clearing the KHS palletizer and combining machine. Developed a department-focused safety program on PowerPoint that was incorporated into the company’s overall safety program. MARCH 2020 – APRIL 2021
ICQA / Amazon PHX6, Phoenix, Az.
Responsible for performing inventory control and quality assurance processes such as SBC (Simple Bin Count), Cycle Count, and SRC (Simple Record Count) on a daily basis. Helped increase accuracy and quality in the department by conducting impromptu special training sessions with several newer ICQA associates. Created the “Bin Lab,” a root-cause analysis project that helped slash one-fifth of all product damages by identifying optimal storage conditions. NOVEMBER 2017 – MARCH 2020
Outbound Shipping Dock Lead / Amazon PHX6, Phoenix, Az. Was tasked with loading outbound packages onto trailers and directing dock associates to focus on priority loads. Completed CPT (critical pull time) orders by scanning all containers into the system for documentation prior to loading them. Helped make dock operations more cost-effective by leading the implementation of the “single-lane flow” trailer loading system, which allowed the dock to reduce labor in that area and shift resources to other high-volume lanes so that fewer associates from other departments were needed. Obtained forklift (Raymond standup model), TDR (Trailer Dock and Release), Jam Clearing, and VCR (Vertical Reciprocating Lift) certifications. When necessary, assisted the PAs with running the labor side of the ship desk. During Prime Week of 2018, I led my TDR team to a successful Prime Week without a single late CPT.
Learning Ambassador (Trainer) / Amazon PHX6, Phoenix, Az. Member of the Associate Safety Committee. Trained more than 50 associates (including cross-trainees and new hires) on the outbound ship dock. Conducted over 80 ship dock safety audits in 2019, which enabled the FC to standardize safety training for all dock associates so that their performance would meet expectations on a network level. Trained over 100 associates when the Go-Kart program was launched. This made it possible for Amazon to drastically reduce its carbon footprint by eliminating more than 40% of the wooden pallets and cardboard gaylords used at PHX6. Completed retraining sessions with several ICQA associates whose work quality had fallen below standard and was able to help those associates improve the quality of their work. Participated in conducting network-standardized training for associates handling cycle counts. Conducted a number of training sessions in Spanish to help associates who had a difficult time comprehending the FC parlance. Helped the FC handle the surge in demand for more associates resulting from the pandemic by conducting training in the ICQA process on a weekly—and sometimes daily—basis. Provided jam clear training and VRC training for over 40 associates. Received training in all inbound and outbound functions (Decant, Receiving, Receiving Prep, Stow, Pick, and Pack) in order to assist with the new manager AEW (Associate Experience Week) training program.
