As assistant manager, my job responsibilities consist of helping the general manager with every day tasks and completing paper work on a daily basis. One of the more important parts of being an assistant manager is handling customer complaints and making sure the customer is always happy. As assistant manager I was responsibile for opening and closing the store. When it was my shift, I was responsible for the safe and all cash on hand. Even though I was an assistant manger, I still had to run the register and help the other cashiers. As assistant manager I also had to ensure that the other employees were doing the work that needed to be done and train the new employees to be sure things get done correctly. Working in retail, you also have the responsibility of unloading the truck, stocking the shelves, and keeping up with inventory.

As assistant teacher, you always support the lead teacher. Your main responsibility is attending to the children and all their needs. Most of the time I worked with ages 4-5, so learning activities were also part of the everyday activities so the children would be prepared when they go to school. We would also do fun activities, like going outside and taking trips. The assistant teacher also needs to have good communication skills for when they discuss with the parents about their child.
